How a mobile Mercedes key job works
A mobile job works like a shop visit, except the shop parks next to your car.
- You call (470) 229-2853 with the year, model, VIN if you have it, and where the car is.
- We tell you on that call whether we can do your car on site and what it costs. FBS3 cars, most models from about 2003 to 2014, get the key made on that visit. For FBS4 cars, most from about 2015 on, we order a factory key for your VIN through NASTF and drive it out to you once it arrives, usually in one day to a week. The quote includes the trip.
- The technician arrives with the key cutting machine and the programming equipment in the van.
- We check your photo ID against the registration or title, then cut and program the key.
- You test it before we leave.
On site, cutting and programming a Mercedes key takes from about 10 minutes to over an hour. A spare is the quicker job.
